there’s no doubt about that. however think real hard on how he actually made it big. okay, some of it was sub-par songwriting, but Bono and U2 used charity purely for making their names bigger. it’s his corporate social responsibility to impress his fan base and the public in general. it’s exactly the same as Wal-Mart giving donations to the local Cancer treatment center. Do you really think they want to?

Do you have an idea of how big U2 is? the guy made many hits with his band so he get a lot from royalties, concerts ,merchandising etc…

Because some people only do things for a damn lousy resume or for public image. You learn that quickly in any school setting. All the kids who want to go to Harvard or Yale work at the soup kitchen only because they feel they need the experience to get in. And people who help other people solely to benefit themselves are the biggest pieces of shit out there. Like Bono supporting the fight against poverty, AIDS, etc. in Africa. How do you think he made his money?
