@JerrysKids100 same here… hendrix was without a doubt the best guitarist but as a band the experience didn’t have the same chemestry as the beatles
hahaha, , he goes to discuss getting a pick from a roadie with one hand going and still is playing better than anyone that evr existed.
If you really think the beatles were the best band “back then” you might want to rethink your life.

I do not get why people say,”The Beatles were best band back then”. The Beatles in my opinion are the best band still and most of the bands today have no passion like how The Beatles did
@theoneandonlytb but where you hear a theme of jimi hendrix and know it is the only, that is their way of playing guitar and singing is only in the most anyone, this year marks the 40th anniversary of his death and quite frankly not a born a musician of the last century and guitarist Jimi Hendrix is a legend and is more alive than ever

you really cant compare jimi hendrix to the beatles. hendrix is a god, but the beatles are fucking zeus. hendrix is probably possiedon. and yeah I’d have to agree with tutacloromani Led Zeppellin is Hades. the rolling stones are dionysus. cant really think of any more.

Hendrix chose to open the show with his own rendition of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, rehearsed only minutes before taking the stage, much to The Beatles astonishment and delight. Hendrix didnt know at the time that they were in the audience. Paul McCartney said later he was honored by the tribute; simply incredible, perhaps the best I have ever seen him play.

I agree that he wasnt the best of singers. I recently bought Valley of Neptunes and was listening to it, my little brother came in and said that he couldnt sing.
Still amazingly influential.

@kblanchette8868 I don’t think that his singing was that good. I’m not saying that he’s not an inspiration to others. His interpretation isn’t very good in my opinion. Just sounds like a doped-up person singing whilst eating crisps.
