This song is not a rebel song……. An epic classic. U2 finally reach the masses. Performing live on the UK TV programme The Tube. It was a revolution in music TV as the programme mixed the sound for TV better than had been done before. This performance shows what a great live band U2 were and why they have risen to international fame. Watch the whole song and you will be engrossed as many were. This is from the original broadcast. For best results click on ‘watch in high quality’. “wipe those tears away..” NB. Unfortunately for some strange reason the sound on all my clips has gone very quiet.

I agree with you wholeheartedly mate.
Why hasnt this been officially released?I grew up with this lot and i thought i knew alot about them, but i didnt know this footage existed. This is how i prefer to remember them.Theyve done some fabulous stuff since this but some embarassing shit too.Oh and Bono is a prat.Hes clever, rich, and succesful but hes lost his humility of the bands earlier days when they were less succesful.Pity.
more innocent times..
before they were an international juggernaught of dross and when they were a band you could believe in
gawd bless ‘em
oh and the edge isn’t wearing a hat and boneo has no shades on…

its refreshing to remember how good they were before they got caught up in their own success
