These guys were the fucking Clash or their age. Didn’t start a revolution like a punk rock band could, but certainly changed the music scene forever.
And especially during that time when the video was released. They were really impacting the world.

Both are expert songwriters. U2 had this peaceful protest thing going on during the day while The Clash had this revolution rock outlaw style.
This live set, recorded at Red Rocks, Colorado, is to me the best thing they ever re;eased. They are excellent, but still on the way up, and hungry for it, not the fairly lofty mothership they became.

same as Lennon and McCartney who both lost their mams when still only kids – the void it must leave is unimaginable unless as a child its happened to you –

When I was in high school, I used to watch this every morning before going to school. Among the very best of U2.
wow they were awesome back then! One of my favourite tunes by them. Their new album has had rave reviews. Can’t wait til it comes out. Then we can get back to what their best at: the music!
