This contains scenes from seasons 3 and 4. This is my first B5MV! Actually…it’s my first MV of any kind. Although this is version 2.0 =p I got some feedback and made a few changes. Plus I added in a little more at the end so that the non-B5viewers understood what was going on. This is a compilation of scenes with Marcus Cole and Susan Ivanova set to the song “Miracle Drug” by U2. It starts off without the song playing for one of my favorite scenes, and then the song kicks in after a bit. Actually they live happily ever after.
Cole’s story concludes in “Space, Time & the Incurable Romantic”, a short story written by JMS and published in Amazing Stories #602. It takes place hundreds of years after the series ends. Cole (still preserved in cryogenic suspension) is revived when the homeworld of those who built the life-energy transfer machine was found. He then proceeds to create a clone of Ivanova by enlisting one of Garibaldi’s descendants to help him.

Endowing it with her exact memories by stealing the scans done of her memory, he then strands them on a desolate and uncharted world with the intent of living “happily ever after” together. There are significant moral questions raised by his actions in this story, but JMS has been quoted as “wishing to give the character the happy ending he deserves” while at the same time raising the type of ethical question for which Babylon 5 is famous.
I’ve never seen this series before but the video was really great and the combination of both the clips and song made it great.
Really well done. You captured the feeling perfectly. B5 was such a great series, I really enjoyed it except for how this relationship was wrapped up. One of the most pointless deaths in Sci Fi ever.

This is a great video. I really loved the scene at 2:47 and at 3:21; and the scene at 4:29 was so sad. It made me cry when I saw that episode.

Yeah, B5 is great for sci-fi fans, action fans, love story fans, etc alike. I hope that you like the series! 1st season – decent. 2nd season – good. 3rd season – amazing. 4th season – …you’ll never watch another sci-fi series again =p
Although unfortunately, you won’t see Marcus until the beginning of the 3rd season. Well-worth the wait though
I found this video almost by chance, and although I don’t like sci-fi series very much, I was immediatly captured. I’ll rent Babylon 5 tomorrow! Great job! By the way, the actor playing Marcus is very good looking and attractive!
oh thank you! I’m glad you liked it. Yeah, the dialogue in the middle of the song was really the only way that I could find to make a Marcus and Ivanova MV really work….it was surprisingly hard to find many scenes with them together. The way around that is to toss in scenes of just Marcus and just Ivanova..taken HORRIBLY out of context, but I opted for this way. I saw another MV of these two with the second method….I didn’t like it heh…mainly b/c I know the series so well.
This was very well done, I love how well you blended the speaking portions with the music. I was so incredibly sad when he died…I wasn’t expecting it at all, and between that and Ivanova’s reaction in the next episode, yeah, I totally cried. But it was so well done and so sweet. This show is amazing.

aww thanks! I wish that they had more Marcus and Susan scenes in the series. It made it nearly impossible to do any quick cuts and editing magic with the song’s length and the limited scenes. But I’m so glad that you liked it!
