Israeli singer Aviv Gefen has been asked to play as an accompanying act for music legends U2 at their forthcoming concert appearance in Athens, Greece. The show which will take place on 3rd September is to be held at Athens’ Olympic Stadium – and the announcement is a big achievement and tribute to Gefen. The announcement was made on the U2 page and also on Aviv Gefen’s myspace page. The Israeli singer will be joined by the band Snow Patrol who will also accompany U2. Aviv Gefen is an accomplished performer in English. He has made several European concert and festival tours in recent years and has also just released a popular new album that also received praise in Europe.
