The band brings its own light show for ‘Vertigo,’ which features the swirling red designs used during the Vertigo Tour. ‘One’ is performed with Mary J. Blige, and features the Zoo TV tour’s video animations showing the word ‘one’ on the screen in different languages. Later in the ceremony, Edge takes part in an all-star musical tribute to the artists and sounds of New Orleans, performing with the likes of Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, and others. As for the awards, U2 wins all five categories in which its nominated and Steve Lillywhite also wins Producer of the Year.
